NZME is one of New Zealand’s largest media groups with a strong presence in the South Island.
NZME wanted help to develop sales and customer engagement training for their team to better engage clients locally as well as in an international context.
We started by working closely with the senior leadership team to unpick some of the key challenges they were facing in the local media environment. Our aim was to help develop and embed some basic principles of client engagement with the broader team.
The word ‘sales’ is often pigeonholed and can get a bad rap. But ultimately sales are about relationships and we wanted to draw on this to help the NZME team gain confidence to engage with clients on a deeper level. A new approach and a strengthening of the core skills was the key to grow the NZME value proposition. We developed engagement training and a number of presentations for their team to use with local and international clients.
Sales and customer engagement is ever evolving and we continue to support NZME and their sales team. Over time and with constant investment in the sales team and customer relationships, we’ll continue to help grow the NZME opportunities in the local market.
